Quercus robur x Q. alba ‘JFS-KW1QX’ – Streetspire Oak is similar to Crimson Spire Oak and is another J. Frank Schmidt Nursery introduction. It differs in that it does not hold its foliage through winter. It has wider branch angles giving it good storm resistance. The red fall color is another great feature of this tree making it one of our “Tried & True” favorites!
GROWER’S NOTES:
We love the uniform branching and consistent growth of this new columnar Oak cultivar. The leaves always look fresh and the small lobes add a nice texture to the tree. Streetspire grows a little faster and performs better for us in production compared to Crimson Spire.
