At Spring Grove Nursery, we grow healthy trees, deep roots, and strong communities.

Tree Sizes and Specifications

On our farm, we primarily grow large balled & burlapped specimen trees. We harvest them at a trunk caliper range of 2.0” to 4.0” in diameter, ranging in height from 6 to 20 feet depending on the species and size.

We also offer a selection of  container-grown trees. They range in size from 4 to 10 feet tall with a caliper around 0.5” to 1.25”. We currently grow over 150 different varieties of trees on 100 acres in North Central Illinois.  

 

Availability

We have trees available for field digging in spring (Mar-May) and fall (Sept-Nov) orders.

We also stock an above ground sales yard for trees available throughout the planting season (June-Aug).

Delivery Options

Delivery options for trees can be customized to suit your needs.

Options include:

• SGN trailers that haul anywhere from one  to 60 trees
• Local trucking company with a variety of delivery options
• Pickup from the Nursery when scheduled in advance

Please call the office ahead to schedule a pick up or delivery at 815-448-2097. Hours are by appointment only.

 

Tagging

We offer customer tagging on trees both in the field and the sales yard. Each tree is hand-selected by our SGN Trees Growers.

We also offer customized tree holding and maintenance on trees needed for projects in upcoming seasons.

Our team can tailor a plan that works within your timeline and budget. We strive to provide just the right tree for your project!

 

Terms

Unless prior arrangements have bene made, payment is due at the time of pick-up or delivery.

• Net 30 Day Terms:  May be established with customers who fill out our Credit Application & Customer Purchase Agreement. Please email maggie@sgntrees.com for a copy of the agreement.
• 2% Net 10 Day Term:  Available for customers that have previously established credit with our nursery and pay within 10 days of the invoice date. If you wish to take advantage of this savings, please contact us to update your Customer Purchase Agreement.
• Past Due Accounts:  Are subject to a service charge of 1.5% per month (18% per year). Past due accounts are immediately returned to COD terms.

Guarantee

Spring Grove Nursery is regularly inspected by the Illinois Department of Agriculture. A copy of our license is available upon request. If any nursery stock proves to be untrue to its description or variety, under which it is sold, we hold ourselves in readiness, on proper proof, to replace such nursery stock that may prove untrue to description or name, or refund the original amount paid. We shall in no case be liable for any sum greater than the amount originally received for such nursery stock. Seller gives no warranty as to livability, express or implied. Claims must be made in writing within five (5) days of receipt of order. Failure to present such a claim within five (5) days shall constitute a waiver.
