Evergreen Cemetery has partnered with Spring Grove Nursery to offer Legacy Trees to families and loved ones of those who have passed. When making final resting place arrangements at Evergreen Cemetery, families and loved ones have the opportunity to also plant a Legacy Tree on cemetery grounds. Caretaker Sue Ader and the Growers at Spring Grove Nursery will help you select and plant a Legacy Tree.

Planting a Legacy Tree provides beauty, environmental and health benefits, and is a living legacy for generations to come. By planting or gifting a Legacy Tree, you will not only be providing a lasting memory, but beautifying your community at the same time. A tree marks a physical space to connect with a loved one, gather with family and friends, or to simply sit and enjoy the shade and habitat it provides over the years. Trees truly make our world a better place! 

Spring Grove Nursery offers over 100+ varieties of shade, ornamental, and evergreen trees, ranging in sizes from large B&B trees ($350-$1000) t0 smaller, potted trees ($85-$150). Gift certificates of any amount to be used at any time are also available. We work with our partner family business iTrees.com to deliver and plant Legacy Trees, and families and friends are welcome to come and help plant the tree if they would like. Additionally, we have resources about memorial service ideas and where to order a plaque. Each Legacy Tree comes with a Legacy Package that includes a custom, artisan suncatcher made by a local artist, informational fact sheets about the selected tree and the benefits of trees, and a custom Legacy Certificate to honor the planting. 

You can create a Legacy Tree Memorial Fund through Evergreen Cemetery or local Funeral Home for family and friends to donate to or contact Spring Grove Nursery directly and we will help you find the perfect Legacy Tree to grow for generations to come!
