Our SGN Trees Team is looking forward to a few fascinating forestry & arborist conferences coming up this fall. Both will run concurrently in mid-November, so our team will be splitting up and bouncing back between both of them. We’d love to connect with our tree friends at either of these events, so if you are attending be sure to look for our booths and stop by to talk TREES with us! .

This year marks the 42nd Illinois Arborist Association Annual Conference & Trade Show at the Tinley Park Convention Center. SGN Trees Grower Becky Thomas will be presenting on Wednesday, Nov 20 at 2PM in the Plant Health Care Demonstration Area. Her presentation “From Farm to Parkway: Tried & True Selections that Thrive” will provide an inside view into the process and timeline of growing trees to plant in the landscape. The presentation will highlight harvest timing of species and the seasonal needs of trees throughout the growing process. Spring Grove Nursery Grower, Becky Thomas, will also share her expertise about growing Tried & True Trees that thrive in tough conditions. .

The Arbor Day Foundation is thrilled to announce that the 2024 Partners in Community Forestry Conference and partnering events will be held in Chicago, Illinois from November 19–21. This gathering unites passionate individuals, communities, organizations, and leaders to explore innovative solutions, share insights, and collaborate on the future of urban forestry. We can’t wait to spend time in the Chicago canopy learning more about trees!
