Dear Friends,
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to be your grower. We are looking forward to an exciting season ahead at Spring Grove Nursery!
2017 will mark our 18th year as nursery growers. Over the years, we have had the privilege to work with so many wonderful suppliers, customers and employees – many of whom have become good friends.
For 18 growing seasons, we have planted, pruned, harvested and delivered countless trees – all coming from our fertile soil and tended by hard work, sunshine and rain. We are so lucky to be growing on such a bountiful farm tended by our family for five generations. The support from our family and the commitment from our employees have made these last 18 years possible. We are grateful for their help in making our nursery what it is today.
We have watched our family grow over the 18 years. Our children who were babies when we started are now in high school & college. They have grown up right alongside our trees. Watching them learn & grow with us out in the field have been some of our favorite moments in the nursery. We included some fun pics of our family over the years in the nursery below.
We have also seen the nursery industry change dramatically over the last 18 years. When we started in the business, a massive shortage of trees existed in the market. By the time our first crop was ready to harvest, the economy shifted quickly and we saw the steady decline of our industry take hold for several years. Through persistence, hard work, lean management, and strong partnerships we stuck it out. Now that the nursery industry is turning around, we are proud to be growing stronger than ever!
So, we welcome 2017 with the same excitement & optimism that we started growing 18 years ago in 1999. We are thankful for those who have been part of our journey so far, and we welcome new opportunities for partnerships in the future. As our roots grow deeper and our branches spread upward, we look ahead to another bountiful & blessed 18 years to come!
Sincerely, Jamie & Becky Thomas
