February Tree of the Month - Betula

Betula platyphylla ‘Fargo’ aka Dakota Pinnacle® Birch is great for tighter spaces and more formal designs.

Dakota Pinnacle® Birch delivers a refined, vertical presence. Its narrow, upright form and light-colored bark create strong architectural impact without overwhelming the landscape. Developed by North Dakota State University, this Betula is notably heat- and drought-tolerant and resistant to Japanese beetles.

The yellow-white, lightly exfoliating bark pairs beautifully with dark green foliage that turns a brilliant yellow in fall. A top choice for streetscapes, courtyards, and landscapes where structure, durability, and beauty all matter.
