Our SGN Trees Team is looking forward to a few great forestry & arborist conferences coming up this fall. Both will run concurrently in mid-November, so our team will be splitting up and bouncing back between both of them. Illinois Arborist Association Annual Conference November 18-20th

We are looking forward to another great IAA Annual Conference this fall! This year marks the 42nd IAA Annual Conference & Trade Show at the Tinley Park Convention Center. The SGN Trees Team will be attending so make sure to stop by our booth say hello! We always enjoy connecting with our fellow tree friends and learning about new techniques, ideas, research, and products in the tree care industry. The lineup of speakers and topics this year looks fantastic, and the IAA Team always does a great job putting on the event.

SGN Trees Grower Becky Thomas will be presenting on Wednesday, Nov 20 at 2PM in the Plant Health Care Demonstration Area. Her presentation  “From Farm to Parkway: Tried & True Selections that Thrive” will provide an inside view into the process and timeline of growing trees to plant in the landscape. The presentation will highlight harvest timing of species and the seasonal needs of trees throughout the growing process. Spring Grove Nursery Grower, Becky Thomas, will also share her expertise about growing Tried & True Trees that thrive in tough conditions.

Partners in Community Forestry and Urban & Community Forest Society Conferences Nov 19-21 

We are looking forward to heading to downtown Chicago for these conferences this fall!  The Arbor Day Foundation is thrilled to announce that the 2024 Partners in Community Forestry Conference and partnering events will be held in Chicago, Illinois from November 19–21.  This gathering unites passionate individuals, communities, organizations, and leaders to explore innovative solutions, share insights, and collaborate on the future of urban forestry.
