Ulmus japonica x wilsoniana x pumila ‘Morton Glossy’ – Triumph Elm is another Morton Arboretum selection in the Chicagoland Grows program. This Elm is distinctly vase shaped with glossy green leaves and a yellow fall color. We pick it as one of our “Tried & True” favorites!
GROWER’S NOTES:
Triumph Elm matures to a beautiful tree, but at a young age in the nursery it takes a lot of work to get it to that point. Patience and consistency are necessary in growing any Elm, especially Triumph. This variety responds well to staking as long as you pay attention to it and stay ahead of its new growth.
