Planting a new crop of trees into the nursery is very exciting every spring! With every new crop, we are planting new potential for future projects, customers, relationships, & best of all – TREES!
The trees we plant this spring will not be ready for harvest until 5-10 years from now. So we have to do the tough job now of predicting what will be popular & needed in the future. We work hand in hand with our liner growers to stay on top of new varieties & growing practices so that we can be offering the best possible trees to our customers in the future.
We are working once again with some fantastic growers this spring to provide our 2013 liner crop – J. Frank Schmidt Nursery, Carlton Plants, John Holmlund Nursery, Robinson Nursery, Kuenzi Turf & Nursery, Sester Farms, & Evergreen Nursery.
We are proud to plant several new trees this spring into our mix. New varieties for us to plant this year are Autumn Fantasy Maple, Celebration Maple, Crescendo Sugar Maple, Chicagoland Hackberry, Hardy Rubber Tree, Butternut, Butterflies Magnolia, Show Time Crabapple, Ruby Vase Parrotia, Hills Oak, Shawnee Brave Bald Cypress, Serbian Spruce, Vanderwolf’s Pyramid Pine, Concolor Fir, and Canadian Hemlock.
As your grower, we are proud to be planting for your future!
