ARBOR DAY 2021 IS FRIDAY APRIL 30!
We started planting trees for Arbor Day with local schools 18 years ago when our daughter was a youngster at MVK Grade School. We had so much fun planting with the kids & teaching them about trees that the tradition has continued ever since. Every spring we plant at MVK Grade School along with several other area schools. We enjoy teaching the kids about the benefits of trees and letting them dig in dirt to plant a tree at their school. Last year we couldn’t plant with kids due to Covid-19, but we are excited to plant again this spring! We will be planting at our local school, MVK Middle School, this Friday to commemorate the best holiday of the year – ARBOR DAY!
To learn more about the benefits of trees, check out our Tree Resource Page for more or our Social, Economic, & Environmental Benefits of Trees Info Sheet. Here are a few more links to articles about our plantings at schools. It’s fun to remember the kids & trees over the years!
We thought it would also be fun to take a look back at our Arbor Day plantings through the years. Enjoy! You can also see more pics of the fun plantings in our ARBOR DAY PHOTO GALLERY. Finally, you can also learn more at Arbor Day website https://www.arborday.org/
Happy Planting!
