The sun is shining

🌞🌳 Good Morning! 🌳🌞 The sun is shining, baby trees are going in the ground, and we are chugging along! Since Monday we’ve planted over 3500 trees to grow for generations to come - what a great midweek boost!

👨‍🌾 Our amazing crew started off this bright, spring morning planting Gymnocladus dioicus (Kentucky Coffeetree), Liriodendron tulipifera (Tulip Tree), and Celtis occidentalis (Hackberry). Up next for this block is Zelkova, Carpinus, Prunus, Malus, Syringa, and Yellowwood. Let’s Grow!

We love how planting days bring our crew (and our family) together out in the field to help make it all happen.

If you’re curious about the trees lined up in the field, these bareroot beauties are Dawn Redwoods. Here’s to strong roots and new growth!

Say hello to our resident soil engineers: WORMS! 🪱 Worms are soil superheroes! As they tunnel through the ground, they loosen compacted soil, improve drainage, and create space for roots to grow.

Even better, their 💩 is packed with nutrients that enrich the soil and feed trees from the roots up. It’s like natural fertilizer on a constant cycle.

Healthy soil = happy trees. And for that, we can thank the quiet work of these wriggly underground allies 🪱
