At Spring Grove Nursery, we grow healthy trees, deep roots, and strong communities. We specialize in growing a collection of healthy specimen trees for Landscape Contractors, Independent Garden Centers, Municipalities, Park Districts, Horticulturalists, and Landscape Architects. We can also accommodate Retail Customers on a seasonal basis. At SGN Trees, we grow large balled & burlapped specimen trees on our farm. We dig them at a trunk caliper range of 2.0”-4.0” in diameter, ranging in height from 6’-20’ depending on the species & size. WHOLESALE CUSTOMERS

Landscape Contractors, Independent Garden Centers, Municipalities, Park Districts, Horticulturalists, Landscape Architects, Campus Grounds, Public Gardens, Project Managers, Homeowner’s Associations, Community Groups, Tree Planting Initiatives, Golf Courses, Cemetery Associations, … and more

We have trees available for field direct spring (Mar-May) and fall (Sept-Nov) orders. We also stock an above ground sales yard for trees available throughout the planting season (June-Aug). Our SGN Trees are available for pick-up or delivery. Delivery options for trees can be customized to suit your needs. We have trailers that haul anywhere from 1 tree to 60 trees. We also contract with a local trucking company that offers a variety of delivery options. Delivery pricing and schedule available upon request.  Please call the office ahead to schedule a pick up or delivery at 815-448-2097. Hours are by appointment only.

We offer customer tagging on trees both in the field and the sales yard. Each tree is hand selected by our SGN Trees Growers. We also offer customized tree holding & maintenance on trees needed for projects in upcoming seasons. Our team can tailor a plan that works within your timeline and budget. We strive to provide just the right tree for your project!

RETAIL CUSTOMERS

Our SGN Trees above ground sales yard is stocked with a wide selection of trees throughout the growing season. The yard generally opens, weather permitting, on May 1st and remains open until Thanksgiving. We will have container & balled & burlapped trees available to pre-order for early spring or fall pick up. Please check with the office for the latest availability.

Because we are a wholesale grower, we offer a wide selection of trees in a variety of sizes. At SGN Trees, we grow and supply trees for windbreaks, orchards, farm conservation projects, home landscapes, memorial plantings, local cemeteries, … the list goes on! Our connection to local landscape contractors and garden centers can be helpful depending on the type of project you are planting. IMPORTANT INFO

At SGN Trees, we grow large balled & burlapped specimen trees on our farm. We dig them at a trunk caliper range of 2.0”-4.0” in diameter, ranging in height from 6’-20’ depending on the species & size. Our B&B trees weigh between 500-1000 lbs each. If you are picking up B&B trees you will need a truck & trailer with a tarp and equipment on your end to unload the trees. Delivery or planting services can be arranged on B&B trees.  Please call for more info.

We also offer smaller potted trees which can physically be picked up by 1 person. They range in size from 4-10’ tall with a caliper around 0.5”-1.25”. These trees can be loaded into the back of a truck and should also be tarped for transit. Potted trees are generally pick-up only, however delivery or planting options can be arranged.

We welcome you to visit our farm! Our SGN Trees nursery and above ground sales yard are both available to visit by appointment. Please call or stop by the SGN Trees office to schedule a nursery tour, tree tagging, pick-up or delivery.
