Field tile work is happening on the east edge of the nursery. My folks started Agri-Tile Systems in the early 80’s. As a young farmer, Dad bought a tile plow to drain his fields. He understood the importance of good drainage for producing the best crops. Since no one else around had a tile plow, requests quickly came in for him to drain other farmer’s fields. Agri-Tile Systems was born! He eventually sold the company to his foreman, Bob Briscoe. When Bob was ready to pass along the company, he sold it to his foreman, Joel Sandeno. Joel and his crew are working to improve the drainage of the farm next to the nursery farmed by my brother, Chris Harford . This new tile will improve water flow between fields and reduce wet spots. It is pretty cool to see the old Agri-Tile Systems name around the farm still working for area farmers!
