We wanted to share an update about our family. As many of you know, our Spring season will look a bit different this year. Joey was hospitalized in Chicago after a serious accident and will be spending the next many months healing and recovering. He is making incredible progress, and we are all taking it day by day. Joey is an integral part of our family, our farm, and our business and while he won’t be out in the field with us right now he’s already scheming nursery strategy with dad to pass the time!
As our busy spring season quickly approaches, our SGN Team and family back home are helping to keep our nursery business moving forward. The support from our fellow nursery friends, customers, and Green Industry partners has been overwhelming and we are so thankful.
Our H2A crew has arrived at our farm this week and our local crew is already hard at work getting the nursery ready to roll for harvest and planting soon. For our customers, please know that your orders will be fulfilled and we will be able to continue taking new requests. We ask for grace and patience through this spring season as our communications and responses might be delayed.
A wise and seasoned nursery friend of ours once said that planting a new liner crop of trees gives us faith in the future. While the task of spring field work seems overwhelming right now, we believe in that future for Joey, for our family, and for our community that surrounds us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for growing alongside our family this season. We are so blessed!
Our family has started a CaringBridge blog where you can follow along for updates about how things are going – we will link to it on our blog, social media pages, and email:
