We’re back from a great IGIA Summer Conference in St. Louis. The Illinois Green Industry Summer Conference was hosted by the Tosovsky family & Home Nursery, and they showed everyone a great time! Ann Tosovsky is now our new IGIA President, and we know she has lots of great things planned for our association. While at the Summer Conference, we stayed across the street from the new ballpark & were treated to a private tour & box seats for a game. Even though the Cardinals lost, we all had a great time (especially the Cubs fans!!!). We also toured Home Nursery, the Anheuser Busch Brewery, Hidden Lake Winery, & the Missouri Botanical Gardens. The Annual meeting for the IGIA was also held at the conference and we went over the new strategic plan for the upcoming years of the association. There are many great things going on in our industry and the IGIA is at the forefront in making many of them happen. Coming up later this summer will be a Green Roof tour in Chicago held in conjunction with the IGC Show at Navy Pier. We are looking forward to that – it looks like a great tour. Thanks again to Home Nursery for their hospitality & to the IGIA staff for all of their hard work!
