Accolade Elm

Ulmus japonica x wilsoniana 'Morton' - 70' x 60' - Developed by the Morton Arboretum, this Elm is a Chicagoland Grows tree. It has vase shaped habit similar to an American Elm. This was the SMA 2012 Tree of the Year!

New Horizon Elm

Ulmus japonica x pumila 'New Horizon' - 55' x 40' - Developed by the Univ. of Wisconsin as a very cold hardy Elm, this variety makes a great shade tree. It grows very straight & symmetrical, and it has course textured leaves similar to the American Elm.

Frontier Elm

Ulmus 'Frontier' - 40' x 30' - This Elm is a US National Arboretum introduction with a vase shaped to oval habit. The fall color is a beautiful purple similar in color to the Autumn Purple Ash.

Emerald Sunshine Elm

Ulmus propinqua 'JFS-Bieberich' - 35' x 25' - This tough adaptable Elm was developed at J. Frank Schmidt Nursery and selected for superior performance on the hot, arid, windswept plains of the Midwest. The handsome leathery leaves emerge bronze & mature to glossy green. The pubescence on the leaves deter insects.

Ulmus 'Morton Glossy' - 55' x 45' - Another Morton Arboretum selection in the Chicagoland Grows program, this Elm is distinctly upright vase shaped with glossy green leaves & a yellow fall color.

Princeton American Elm

Ulmus americana 'Princeton' - 70' x 50' - This variety has proven to be one of the most resistant American Elms to Dutch Elm Disease. The graceful symmetrical branching and upright growth habit make Princeton a stately tree in the landscape.
