Fort McNair Horsechestnut

Aesculus x carnea 'Fort McNair' - 45' x 30' - The Fort McNair Horsechestnut has showy 6-8" pink flowers in the spring followed by reddish-brown fruit in the fall. This tree was selected from Ft. McNair in Washington DC.

Yellow Buckeye

Aesculus flava - 60' x 40' - The Yellow Buckeye gets it's name from the yellow flowers in May. This tree tolerates urban conditions well & develops into an oval form. Other features are the orange fall color & glossy brown nuts.

Bottlebrush Buckeye

Aesculus parviflora - 10' x 10' - White 12" bottlebrush shaped flowers bloom in mid-summer. They are very fragrant & showy. Fall color is yellow and the Bottlebrush Buckeye prefers acidic moist soil, but it adapts well.
