ORNAMENTALS

River Birch

Betula nigra - 40' x 35' - The River Birch is an excellent tree showcasing red/brown peeling bark and an outstanding yellow fall color.

Whitespire Birch

Betula populifolia 'Whitespire' - 30' x 20' - A nice narrow pyramidal size, this Birch has chalky white bark that looks great all season long. The bright green leaves rustle in the wind & turn the brightest yellow in the fall. Another standout feature are the catkins that grace the tree in the summer.

Dakota Pinnacle Birch

Betula platyphylla 'Fargo' - 35' x 15' - This new narrow variety was developed by North Dakota State University. It is very tolerant of heat & drought and is Japanese Beetle resistant. Dark green foliage turns a brilliant yellow in fall. The bark is yellow-white and is slightly exfoliating.

Fox Valley River Birch
